They’re now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team in Basingstoke and play a key role in their accounting processes.

This is a rare opportunity for a qualified accounts technician to take on an important role within our organisation and support our client’s financial activities.
The Role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in the management of our client’s accounting processes with particular focus on expenditure.
Specifically, working up to trial balance support, you will produce accurate and timely management accounts and annual financial statements. You will provide accounting support to the wider organisation, ensuring an efficient, timely and responsive finance function is provided.
Your role will also include:
- Reconciling expenditure on a daily basis
- Maintaining charity and subsidiary purchase ledgers
- Maintaining and updating the invoice processing and approval system
- Managing and processing employee expenses and company credit cards on a monthly basis
About You
To be considered as an Assistant Accountant, you will need:
- AAT or clear evidence of comparable experience
- Previous relevant experience in an accounts department
- Awareness of the principles of Data Protection and Information Security
- Experience of working on own initiative
- A proactive and can-do attitude with a desire to learn and develop
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong numeracy skills
- Accurate data entry skills
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Excel
Previous experience of using Access Dimensions accounting software and Salesforce would be beneficial to your application. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills would also be an advantage.
