They’re now looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in Basingstoke and ensure their finances are managed the right way.

The Role

As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial health of the charity, ensuring they are compliant and can achieve their charitable goals.

Processing and reporting on finances in a timely and compliant manner, you will help to develop financial policies and procedures whilst creating insight reports and providing advice to support decision making.

This comprehensive financial management role incorporates all elements of accountancy from balance sheet reconciliation to financial policy compliance. You’ll be involved in the production of statutory accounts for both the charity and their subsidiary, ensure appropriate processes are in place for VAT and seek to maximise Gift Aid claims.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure Direct Debit collections meet BACS requirements
- Make sure we comply with the financial requirements of related statutory bodies
- Identify and post accruals, prepayments, and recharges
- Support department leads on financial matters

About You

To be considered as the Finance Manager, you will need:

- To be a qualified accountant with an ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualification or be QBE
- Experience of preparing monthly management accounts
- Experience in preparing financial statements for audit purposes
- Budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Project management skills
- A good working understanding of GAAP & Charity SORP
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Data Protection and Information Security
- A clear understanding of risks relevant to the finance environment and controls required to mitigate risks
- The ability to support and up-skill non financial stakeholders
- To be highly IT literate, including proficiency and skills with Office365, Salesforce and Access Dimensions
