Financial Reporting Manager

Resourcery Group are partnering with a large, well known brand based in Liverpool as they look to appoint a new Financial Reporting Manager. This is a newly created role due to growth and reports directly into an impressive Head of Finance. 

Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for statutory reporting and compliance for all legal entities serviced by the Finance Team in Liverpool, including audits and other filings. This qualified role will ensure accounting standards are applied by all technical / management accountants and that company accounting Standards are applied thoroughly.

As the Financial Reporting Manager, your main responsibilities will consist of the following:
  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of the monthly management accounts by the accounting team to strict deadlines
  • Resolving escalated accounting issues from the Finance team or other relevant parties
  • Responsibility for audits of all entities serviced by the Finance Team in Liverpool, including preparation of statutory accounts, Finance Team audit preparation and follow up on any improvements recommended by auditors in a timely manner.
  • Primary contact for treasury to ensure BAU treasury requirements are met and to drive improvements to the global banking structure through the integration of subsidiary bank accounts into the HQ banking network
  • Full analysis of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet accounting, ensuring that any changes in accounting are reflected in the global forecasts.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all capital expenditure and leases are accounted for in accordance to accounting standards and supporting the business on larger capex project accounting.
  • Production of any technical papers required by audit / tax / and other relevant parties for discussion and review by the Head of Finance & IT.
  • Leading on the integration of acquired companies into company infrastructure and ensuring alignment with best practice.
  • Creation and maintenance of a Finance risk register with a supporting plan to reduce risks to an acceptable level.
  • Feed into the monthly forecasting process to ensure that the FP&A Manager has up to date information on product standard costs, transfer pricing, production activity and any other relevant information.
  • Supporting the Finance Project Lead in the continued roll out of our new Sage X3 ERP system to all legal entities, ensuring that the system adequately covers all statutory and compliance reporting.
  • Driving continuous improvements in the control environment, ensuring business and financial controls are robust and comply with all Internal Audit standards.

Key Requirements:
  • Fully qualified, preferably ACA or ACCA
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience of production accounting, transfer pricing and multi-currency reporting
  • Experience working within a group of companies with overseas subsidiaries
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Sage X3
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills that reflect the ability to manipulate data such as Pivot tables, filters and lookups.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
