Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Tax Manager for their central London with specific responsibilities for their Isle of Man office.Role Profile: You will manage the tax compliance function of Trust & Corporate Service Provider to ensure deadlines are met. Contribute to and promote the growth of the tax compliance area of the business. Responsible for the management, training and development of a tax administrator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small client portfolio which would involve maintaining trust Income/OIG/CGT pools, preparing reports in respect of the same, preparing tax returns and reviewing financial statements, liaising with fiscal authorities.
  • Focus primarily on UK and Isle of Man tax matters for companies, trust, limited partnerships and foundations.
  • Become involved in providing a high-level awareness of international tax matters which may impact business and clients.
  • Liaise with client facing employees on client queries.

Key Skills and Experience:
  • ATT/CTA qualified with relevant experience of working with direct and indirect tax
  • Experience of advising UK resident non-UK domiciled clients and international clients with UK assets.
  • Experience of advising on UK tax matters for offshore trustees, UK beneficiaries and UK settlors.
  • Experience of the maintenance of relevant income and gains pools for trusts.
  • Trained in a medium/large firm environment
  • Well organised and a good achiever of deadlines
  • Good inter-personal and management skills
  • Experience in training and managing junior staff members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to demonstrate continued professional development.
  • Prepare and implement policies/procedures for the tax department
  • Technically strong with good VAT and UK property tax knowledge
  • Prepare Manx & UK tax computations and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals.
  • Review computations and returns prepared by more junior staff.
  • Prepare and assist with reviewing tax advisory reports and queries.
  • Prepare and send mail shots of relevant tax issues to clients and non-clients on a timely basis.
