Axon Moore are recruiting on behalf of a fast-paced and well-established business based in Oldham. My client is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team on a permanent basis.

The role will incorporate end to end purchase ledger duties at a high volume. You will work alongside the wider accounts team to ensure the ledger is maintained and suppliers are paid in a timely manner, working with a large number of high value transactions and purchase invoices.

Duties
  • Processing invoices and credit notes daily
  • Checking for and investigating discrepancies on invoices
  • Supplier account reconciliation
  • Sending remittances
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers
  • Assisting with the preparation of payment runs
  • Request copy invoice and credit notes where necessary
  • Other ad-hoc accounts admin duties 
Person requirement
  • Some previous experience within a Purchase Ledger position
  • Competent with MS Word, Excel and accounting systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a focused manner and deal with a high volume of transactions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience working to deadlines
