Based in Tring, Hertfordshire, our awarding winning retail client is seeking an AAT or early stage ACCA/ CIMA studier to join their growing finance team as Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

This job would suit an AAT studier who is looking to continue their studies. You will demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and be adept at working with and managing key internal stakeholders.

The successful individual will have general accounting experience, as well as some multi-site retail experience. The role will require advanced Excel skills so the ability to use Excel to a good level is important. To fit with the culture of this business, the individual should have good communication skills and be adept at working with and managing key internal stakeholders. You will also be an enthusiastic and committed team player with a good sense of humour.

Job responsibilities:

Production of weekly revenue figures, resolving any imbalancesAssist in the production of the monthly management accounts, including processing / reconciling prepayments and accrualsPreparation, review and ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any issues where necessaryAllocating of Tronc for all sitesReconciliation and posting of 4 weekly payroll, expenses and credit cardsReconciliation of the fixed assist registers and depreciationReconciliation of all cash control accountsAssist in the year-end external audit processAssist in the annual budgeting process for site cost linesIntercompany reconciliations and invoicingCompletion of government returns such as national statisticsChecking VAT returns for all companies within the groupAccount for retros & rebates
