Axon Moore are working with a leading manufacturing business (£100 mill t/over) who are looking for a Management Accountant for a 12 month Maternity cover.
As Management Accountant you will be supporting the Head of Finance and will have responsibility for the balance sheet and income statements. The role is based in the Head Office with direct contact to senior staff.
As Management Accountant you will deal with the end to end monthly reporting cycle, produce board packs and manage the team to ensure the smooth running of the Finance department.
Duties:
• Provision of accurate and timely financial information.
• Treasury responsibility including foreign exchange strategy.
• Accruals and prepayments.
• Balance sheet and P&L responsibility including reconciliations and commentary.
• VAT, payroll taxes, pension and compliance
• Monthly payroll.
• Assist with budget and forecasting.
• Reporting on trends and variances.
Person Specification:
• Experienced Management Accountant with experience in a similar role
• Qualified accountant, we will also consider QBE
• Manufacturing background and knowledge is advantageous but not essential
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude and ability to get stuck in and build great internal relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and able to present information clearly and concisely.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of accounting rules and best practice.
• Ability to work well within small team to meet deadlines.
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills
