Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable company based in the Doncaster area who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor into their friendly & very-busy finance department to oversee the day to day running of the Purchase Ledger department and ensure the ledgers are well maintained.

The successful candidate will deal with all complex queries, escalations as well as oversee a small team, with support from the Purchase Ledger Manager. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a similar, supervisor/team leader position with strong management skills who can get stuck in and provide support to the team from day one.

Key Responsibilities will include:-

* Hands on management of a small Purchase Ledger team
* Set and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement within the team
* Report on the team's performance and supplier status
* Ensure process flow and working instructions are kept up to date
* Identify weaknesses in the existing processes and suggest areas for improvement
* Ensure supplier invoices are processed in a timely manner and are paid in accordance with agreed payment terms
* Ensure subcontractor invoices are processed accurately and prepare the monthly CIS return
* Prepare monthly EC purchase listing
* Review weekly payment runs and manual payment requests
* Ensure staff expenses are paid in accordance with the expenses policy
* Provide support to the team in dealing with problematic supplier accounts
* Ensure authorisations are in accordance with the purchase policy and approvals matrix (includes coding invoices to jobs and general ledger)
* Control fleet administration
* Ensure the daily finance post and email inbox are distributed
* Other ad-hoc duties as and when required

Person Specification:

* Extensive Purchase Ledger experience
* Experience leading a small team & being an escalation point for suppliers
* AAT Studier / Qualified
* Organised and efficient with the ability to manage a busy workload and meet key deadlines
* Good communications skills to foster productive working relationships
* A team player willing to support colleagues to achieve team objectives
* Ability to work independently & to follow procedure
* Proficiency in numeracy skills
* Committed to delivering the utmost service/support to the business and our customers
* High attention to detail and high level of accuracy
