A reputable consumer, retail business based in Central London is currently seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join the team.
The business is experience continued rapid growth, and this role will be a business partner to two executive team members with a focus on marketing and R&D. Responsibilities include:
- Business partner with CMO and CTO and the teams they oversee
- Challenge forecasted spend across the group to ensure spend is aligned with strategy
- Perform valuation for new product development, including scenario analysis and product cost target setting
- Insight analysis on product performance and ad hoc analysis
- 5 year strategic planning for products, considering feedback from latest product launch decisions
- Reporting, and forecasting of Marketing and R&D Spend
- Month End Close Process for Marketing and R&D spend ensuring correct cost recognition
- Ensure regular review of the operating costs within the Marketing & R&D Cost centres including developing detailed budget and forecasts
- Provide commercial finance support to marketing projects and initiatives to further the 'premiumisation' of our brand
- Drive sustainable top line growth for our business
- Coach and develop one Finance Analyst
- Support the Group Head of FP&A with ad hoc analysis particularly during our quarterly forecasting and annual budget process
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. Ideally you will have experience of working in a commercial finance capacity with a premium brand and experience partnering with other teams such as marketing or R&D. Candidates should have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at a senior level. Strong Excel and systems skills is essential and candidates should be pro-active and a self-starter who is commercially astute, results driven and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
