Head of Finance

Reporting to the CEO this post is a senior role in the charity's management team that will lead the finance function and provide strategic finance support across the range of activities undertaken by the organisation.

The post holder must demonstrate excellent business partnering capability and be able to work effectively at all levels in a small organisation, from junior managers through to executive directors. You will lead on the year end accounting process and will be the point of contact for external stakeholders such as the auditors and other service providers for example the outsourced IT provider. This is a leadership role - you will manage a small team insuring that they have clear objectives in line with creating a great finance team capable of contributing to the strategic objectives of the organisation.

The post will suit a qualified accountant who is skilled in managing change and who can improve the the preparation, reporting and use management information. A key objective is to streamline processes, reduce the volume of paper records and increase the use of digital archiving - experience of doing this previously would be beneficial.
