Senior Management Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to working with a leading business based in Retford as they look to recruit a Senior Management Accountant for their finance team. The business has had an excellent trading year and is continuing to go from strength to strength so this is an excellent time to join them.

Reporting straight into the Head of Finance, the purpose of the role is to manage and deliver management accounting services for one of the firms' divisions. Supporting the Finance Business Partner in providing quality MI, reporting and business development opportunities. In addition, to develop and deliver the internal reporting capability of the Group for the newly acquired European businesses.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

* To produce quality monthly management information
* Manage a team of accountants
* Support ad-hoc FBP financial data queries
* Maintain quality audit trail and records to support the financial accounts of the entities within Group
* Work with external and internal audit as required around account production and the control environment
* Work collaboratively across the Financial Control management team to deliver the wider business service
* Manage the acquisition accounting of the businesses bought by the Group
* Work to deliver an enhanced finance offer in the Group's largest division

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

* CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified (Qualified by Experience will also be considered)
* Experience of delivering monthly financial information with complex underlying systems
* Team management experience
* Strong Excel and systems skills
* Knowledge of IFRS
* Strong communication and influencing skills across senior stakeholders
* Positive, collaborative and enthusiastic approach to work
* Problem-solving and inquisitive mind
* Possess a strong commitment to continuous improvement
* Good attention to detail
