About Our Client

The Whiteley Clinic are the UK's leading clinics for Varicose Veins treatment and research. They also treat other venous conditions.

Job Description

Develop month end close timetable to ensure regular and timely production of financial information and analysis for the business.

Coordinate the collection and compilation of financial and non-financial management information KPI's and Graphics and ensure that the monthly pack is completed and distributed in accordance with the agreed monthly timetable.

Prepare monthly management accounts in line with the agreed month end timetable and further analysis of sales and costs which may be required.

Implement financial control systems to safeguard the assets and cash of the business.

Development of medium and long term financial and investment strategy for the group of companies.

Business Partner with the directors to plan and execute the strategy for growth and identify any potential financial threats to any of the group companies.

Working with the directors to optimise the position of the shareholders and all of the companies in the group.

Provide financial support for all businesses in the group of companies.

Ensure effective credit control to maximise the cashflow of the business.

Develop financial systems that support the growth and diverse activities of the business.

Manage the banking arrangements of the business and establish dialogues with the appropriate bank representatives.

Assume line management responsibility for the finance team and ensure that effective induction, objectives and appraisals take place.

Negotiate the most advantageous terms with suppliers/providers/property/subcontractors to maximise profitability and cashflow and implement procurement processes.

Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders. Take a lead role in the relationship with professional advisors such as Statutory Audit and Tax.

Manage all aspect of the company payroll including starters/leavers, PAYE, NI, Private Health, Pension and other staff benefits.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA / CIMA / ACCA
  • Strong work ethic and a 'Can Do' attitude
  • Strong systems experience
  • Good Excel skills
  • Exceptionally good with detail.
  • An ability to work to deadlines
  • Well organised with an ability to prioritise tasks
  • A proactive approach to manage change and drive improvement/ standards.
