Group Accounting Manager for a large and successful FTSE business based in the West Midlands.
Your new company
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a large and very well respected FTSE organisation as the Group Accounting Manager. The business have an enviable track record of growth and success and they are currently going through and exciting period of change.
Your new role
As the Group Accounting Manager you will ensure that all external and internal reporting for the PLC is of the highest quality. You will manage the consolidation of the results through to Group and will provide expert advice and guidance to the business on all technical accounting matters. You will also manage the impact of any new accounting standards and the preparation and maintenance of the Groups accounting policies and procedures. This role will also own the relationship with the external auditors and will be the primary point of contact for the year-end and subsidiary account audits.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) and it is highly likely that you will have trained and qualified in a Big4 or Top10 environment before gaining some experience within industry. Excellent knowledge of IFRS will be required along with experience of consolidations and the preparation of UK listed financial accounts. Excellent communication skills will be required to liaise with a range of stakeholders across the business.
