ELevation Accountancy & Finance are currently supporting a leading manufacturing firm, based in the Rotherham area, as they look to expand their team with an ambitious Cost Analyst!

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and professional group finance team to assist in the preparation of month end accounts as well as implementing robust costing methodology and standardise reporting to drive margin & variance analysis across the Group and provide support to the workshops to assist them in controlling their costs.

Our client are looking for someone with a genuine passion for finance, strong analytical skills and attention to detail with excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with individuals across the business. Key Accountabilities:

*Drive the importance of product costing across the business to assist managers in making key strategic decision
*Review of current / new product costs including completing costing runs
*Identify material requirements
*Preparation of cost calculations for new products to assist in the setting of commercial prices
*Drive standardisation through documented processes and seek opportunities for process improvements
*Invest time in understanding business process and areas for improvement
*Understand what makes up production overheads and report variance analysis
*Invest time to understand the production process and impacts on business performance
*Analyse and review workshop costs
*Review current stock holdings in line with business requirements
*Preparation of workshop month end accounts
*Prepare and submit monthly accounts for a UK subsidiary

Person Specification:

*Finance Graduate / AAT studier or CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified
*Excellent analytical skills including Excel (pivot tables & vlookups)
*Strong communication skills
*Keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
