Financial Controller, Interim / FTC, Bury, Circa £60,000
Axon Moore have an excellent opportunity for an Interim Financial Controller for a leading manufacturing business who are a leading supplier to the retail sector in the UK.
As Financial Controller you will work for a division of the business with a turnover of £30m and EBITDA £2.1m who are part of a wider group £75m t/o with ambitious growth plans.
Job Description:
As Financial Controller you will be responsible for the management and development of 4 or 5 finance staff and be the number 1 in division for all aspects of day to day finance including trade finance facilities and foreign exchange contracts.
You will also oversee production and lead on development of management accounts and related information pack and reporting, plus be responsible for the balance sheet and working capital control and manage divisional audit process.
You will be business partnering senior stakeholders in financial analysis and budget/ forecast processes supporting growth opportunities plus challenging existing processes, develop controls and create efficiencies both in the finance team and across the division.
In addition to this you will support change projects across the division with thoughtful targeted advice and data.

Duties:
- Work as Financial Controller for the UK business
- Management of a finance team of 5, Management Accountant and Transactional Finance Team
- Support divisional and group managers with finance related information and forecasts
- Monthly Management accounts pack, look after standard and clearance margins, reconciliation and presentation of standard margin to gross profit by customer, customer turnover report, direct sales
- Manage aged stock and look after the warehouse and other KPIs
- Statutory reporting and Audit
- Oversee end to end General Ledger
- Credit insurance cover, VAT, Multi currency purchase ledger
- Sales team - rebates, commission, royalties
- ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified
- Several years’ experience operating at Financial Controller level
- Ideally experience in a medium sized company
- Solid accounting knowledge, excellent people and IT skills
- Working knowledge of statutory accounts and audit
