This is an opportunity to make an invaluable contribution to the successful running of an inspiring local charity that provides essential services across the county, the charity has experienced steady growth over the past few years, which has led to exciting operational development.
Supporting all departments across the charity, and reporting to the Head of Finance, this role is responsible for:
- Month end posting, reviewing and improving on processes.
- Monthly reporting including VAT
- Automated bank payments, bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Fixed asset and depreciation maintenance
- Year end processes
- Day to day line management of an Administration Assistant.
- Stakeholder queries
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of a similar role in a busy finance department.
The post requires the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including influencing and advising skills. There is also a requirement to work closely with colleagues outside of finance and therefore good teamworking skills are important to support on-going process improvement.
Ability to work to deadlines, and ensure all financial submissions are submitted accurately and on time is also essential.
Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Teams, SAGE 200 and database applications.
Studying ACCA/CIMA managerial level or above or AAT Qualified
37 hours per week, Flexi-time
25 days per year plus bank holidays, pro rata
Pension currently 6% of salary
