Finance Manager

Based: Stockport

Salary: up to £50k, excellent benefits including staff discount, free parking, 2 finish on a Friday

Our client is a leading SME well-known for supplying award-winning products from their head office in the Cheadle area. The business has grown over the last 10 years with their products now featured in some of the UK's leading retailers and also being exported to many countries worldwide. We are now looking for a Finance Manager to join the business, working closely with the finance team and investors to continue to grow and develop the company, looking to triple turnover in the next 3-5 years.

This role will be a number 1 in finance, reporting directly to the CEO taking ownership of all finance reporting, management accounting and statutory reporting requirements for the business. You will be instrumental in driving development of new processes, systems and controls as the business continues on its strategic growth path

Role:

  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders including SMT, banks and finance partners
  • Preparing and presenting monthly board report complete with analysis and management reporting
  • Implementing and leading on the finance strategy for the business
  • Supporting wider teams including commercial, operational, customer service continuing to develop management information
  • Responsible for annual statutory reporting, tax computation and monthly VAT
  • Managing financial planning cycle including budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
  • Managing group cashflow and ensuring efficient working capital cycle
  • Working closely with operations managing stock valuations, ensuring pricing is accurate
  • Ensuring robust financial and operational controls are in place across the business, always looking to improve where needed
  • Facilitating risk management framework

Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with post qualified experience
  • Strong experience ideally from an SME
  • Proven experience managing internal stakeholders, building strong relationships
  • Strong financial control experience
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail keen to progress in a growing SME
