Accounts assistant required for a company in Tamworth. Duties will be to assist the company accountant by performing daily and monthly tasks relating to all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Day to day duties will be:
- Matching, coding and paying invoices
- Assisting with month end procedures
- Preparing Purchase Ledger payments and assisting with payment runs
- Processing daily banking transactions and taking card payments
- Credit control, contacting customers regarding overdue payments
- Raising credit notes for customer returns
- Dealing with day-to-day accounting queries over the telephone and by email
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Building and maintaining relationships with both external and internal staff
You will ideally be available on a temporary to permanent basis and able to start asap but if you are only available on a permanent basis my client will consider.
There is an option to work from home and work in the office for this role.
