Exciting opportunity for an ambitious, aspiring Accountant.
Our client has a long-established office in Banbury, and are now opening a new office in Bicester. They are looking for a driven and ambitious Trainee Accountant to be involved with the start up of the new office.
This role is a little different from that of a traditional Accountant, from the very start your focus will be on building relationships with local owner managed businesses and taxpayers. You will be involved with the acquisition of clients, bringing them on board, educating them in the use of cloud accounting software, ensuring assignments are delivered to a very high standard and ensuring that our clients receive the right advice at the right time. An entrepreneurial spirit is required, and so this may not be the ideal role if you wish to spend your days reconciling banks and calculating depreciation!
You will benefit from an intensive six-week training program which will provide a great foundation to enable you to hit the ground running. Our client has a two-year leadership program that will enable you to acquire the skills to reach the senior levels within practice.
You will be encouraged to further your formal accountancy studies and to gain a recognised qualification. Ongoing training is a part of life within our client's network, with a huge variety of subject specific courses being made available to you.
It is likely that you will already have some experience in a finance role, and you may already be studying for an accountancy qualification.
You may be a business and finance graduate who is self-starter with a can-do attitude.
You will be conscientious, focused, show attention to detail, be a good listener, have a good memory and be a fast learner.
You show initiative, ask questions, and understand the need to work off your own back/initiative.
Salary of £25 - £30 K depending on experience
Company pension scheme
In-house training programme and ongoing CPD
