Group Financial Analyst

Partner Financial are working with a retail group based in Watford, seeking an experienced Group Financial Analyst. Working closely with the Group Reporting Manager, the Analyst will be responsible for the reporting and analysis, including the annual budget, forecast and five-year plan. You will also play a key role in the improvement and automation of controls and processes, as well as owning any ad-hoc projects that arise.

Key Competencies:

• Delivering high quality monthly reports for the management team
• Reviewing and improving the current board packs to ensure standardisation across the Group
• Analysing variances and providing commentary to the senior stakeholders
• Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting
• Maintaining key relationships both within finance and across the business
• Preparing the statutory accounts and liaising with the auditors
• Involved with automating and improving controls and processes
• Ad-hoc projects as directed by the Group Reporting Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA)
• A proactive ‘can do’ approach
• A natural ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
• An inquisitive mind-set where you continuously seek process improvement
• The desire to work in a business that pride themselves on promoting internally and creating a first-class finance function
