Finance Business Partner

Trace have partnered with a prestigious engineering firm recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to help produce high quality forecasts and analysis of financial performance, and to challenge and support Executive decision making for staffing and non-staffing costs.

You will be a vital member of a high performing finance function by shaping strategic and operational decision making, minimising risk and promoting business needs in a timely and accurate way.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Modelling various financial and operational scenarios within budget
• Provide regular support to senior managers and directors, delivering detailed budgets and forecasts
• Review and improve various financial and HR models
• Business partner with HR by supporting and monitoring staffing budgets and other staffing costs
• Review staff costs calculators and ensure they are fit for purpose and provide a full history of changes to staffing plans
• Challenge SMT across staff and non-staff costings
• Reporting expenditure against budgets and forecasts and provide trend analysis and guidance on periodical reporting to drive performance
• Analytical and strategic support across finance to deliver projects
• Develop cross-functional relations and drive value for money by analysing and reporting for greater efficiency

Personal Specifications:

• You must be a fully qualified accountant
• Excellent Excel skills and experience managing models
• Calculating indirect accruals and cost of work, business partnering and challenging costs
