UK Financial Controller

My client is a circa £12m turnover division of a large global manufacturing and distribution group. They are currently seeking some interim cover for their UK Financial Controller position and would like to recruit someone for an immediate start to perform a handover whilst the business recruits a replacement. For the right candidate there is therefore a strong chance of a permanent position. This will largely be a stand alone role, supported by a group finance function so you will be expect to be hands on but with support there should you need it. The key duties for this position will be:

• Production of monthly management accounts
• Bank payments/receipts/AP & AR ledger
• Accruals/Prepayments
• Fixed Asset register
• Audit: Internal and external
• Intrastat/EC/EU sales
• VAT: Analysis and quarterly returns
• Balance sheet and Income Statement commentary/analysis
• Monthly Bank reconciliation
• Payroll

They are looking to recruit a fully qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA with previous experience as a Financial Controller who can slot into the position and hit the ground running. Good IT skills are imperative for this position as you will using a variety of systems to extract and analyse information, good communication and stakeholder management skills will also be very important.
