A private equity backed (re)insurance group that has done several strategic transactions in recent history is looking for an M&A Manager to be the point person for the senior leadership team with any future transactions. The role will be the primary FP&A lead for coordinating and assisting in the group's prospective and active corporate transaction and finance activities as well as other strategic projects and analytical FP&A tasks. This will include financial modelling; deal information pack production and presentation; due diligence; and coordination and liaison of internal and external parties. Key areas or delivery will be:

Transactions:

  • Be a key part of the team performing due diligence on prospective and active transaction targets
  • Set-up and maintenance of data rooms, and document management as required
  • Coordinating data requests across Finance and responding to diligence queries
  • Prepare clear, polished presentations to convey deal proposals, modelling and strategic considerations
  • Be a key part of the team in corporate level transactional execution
  • Be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholder relationships, including diligence and transaction advisors
  • Prepare financial analysis and forecast modelling for prospective and active transactions
  • Assist in strategic projects as required

Business Insight, management information and benchmarking:

  • External benchmarking
  • Provide robust business performance review and challenge
  • Act as one of the key strategic partners in the business - able to understand and convey complex information across disciplines.
  • Drive improvement in efficiency of outputs, and maintain and develop analytical capabilities of the team

To be considered for this position you should have transactions services experience, including financial modelling, deal structuring and due diligence of insurance companies. This can come from either an in-house M&A position or from a Big 4/Top 10 consultancy
