About the Finance Manager role:
We are currently recruiting a part-time Finance Manager to join our team at Sandyford Properties. This is a newly created role within the team to support our part-time Head of Finance. The role is for 22 hours per week, across 3 to 5 days to be agreed. Remote working is possible, however it is expected to be office based in normal circumstances.
The role would be ideally suited to someone with post qualification experience in industry with experience in preparing management reports, who is looking to work in a fast growing business but that permits a degree of flexibility in working hours.
We are a small team and whilst you will report to and seek technical guidance and support from our part-time Head of Finance, you will deal more regularly with the Managing Director, the Head of Operations and the Office Manager.
Our Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Preparation of the monthly and quarterly board packs.
- Preparing analyses and bridges of revenue changes over time, both backward and forward-looking.
- Production of regular cash flow statements.
- Reviewing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
- Deferral of revenue in line with standard revenue recognition policies.
- Undertaking performance reviews for individual sites, and of the group as a whole.
- Balance sheet reconciliations for a small number of key accounts.
- Provide analyses and support to the Head of Operations as required to establish good cost control
- Provide analyses and support to the Head of Asset Management to maximise return on investments.
- Participate and actively contribute to system and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide continuous improvement to the KPI and Management Information.
About you:
- Qualified in either ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA
- Experience of working with Xero is preferred
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills – solution-focused approach
- Able to work independently at pace, an ability to work to deadlines, ensuring the business is presented with quality data
- High degree of commercial acumen, resilient, strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Credible communicator, ability to present information in clear yet commercial terms
- Experience of the property sector is beneficial but not required.
- In-depth experience of Excel is essential; ideally familiar with pivot tables and tools to analyse large volumes of data, to quickly prepare analyses and reports
