An opportunity to work for a PLC business in the group team for 3-6 months. You would be responsible and take lead on a project to complete a full review on revenue recognition for the group. Therefore, you will need relevant experience in IFRS 15 ideally from working in a similar project. Alternatively, you could have gained IFRS 15 expertise from a BAU role.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform a review of IFRS 15 revenue recognition for the Group
- Review all client contracts and IFRS 15 compliance for the FY ’21
- Assess of all new key contracts in line with IFRS 15
- Performing testing of various revenue streams to validate the systems and processes are working as designed.
- Reporting of all revenues and leading on revenue projects, participating from end to end solutions for accurate reporting
- Involved with developing internal controls over revenue transactions and reporting
- Building efficient automated processes for streamlining across the revenue team
- Working with large data sets to accurately measure analysis and provide supporting data to external auditors and stakeholders
- Updating technical papers with the accounting treatment of each key contract
- Preparation of monthly group revenue reconciliation's, lead schedules and reports supported by comprehensive commentary
- Business partner with Finance systems and IT teams to develop fully automated revenue accounting processes

Experience
You will be an ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant with a background in a technical accounting role. You must have a thorough understanding and be able to demonstrate experience in IFRS 15 for a medium to large organisation. Project experience is ideal but your IFRS 15 knowledge can also be from a BAU environment, for example as a Financial Controller.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in communicating and influencing senior stakeholders.
