Finance Director – Property & Construction (PH)

Our client is a fast growing, well-funded and high end residential developer with an exciting business plan where they expect to create new divisions across the UK. As a result of this plan, they are seeking to recruit a Finance Director to provide leadership and direction of the finance function.

The key responsibilities of the new Finance Director will be:

• Supporting the business in the creation and implementation of short term 1-3 year strategies
• Providing information to inform and influence strategic development
• Ensuring business reports are prepared
• Reviewing and assessing financial performance whilst running a well-established finance team
• Providing monthly management accounts
• Reviewing the business plan and comparing actual vs projected budgets
• Making recommendations and influencing at board level
• Ensuring compliance with statutory financial and accounting requirements
• Preparing financial statements  and providing robust financial management across the company

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience of operating at board level
• An experienced and well established finance professional within one or more of the construction, property development or manufacturing sectors
• Experienced in rigorous performance management
• Experienced in working with accounting software packages
• In possession of excellent leadership skills
