Finance Manager

Finance Manager - Publishing - 9 Month FTC - London

My client, a leading publishing brand, is looking to add a qualified Finance Manager to their team on a 9 month FTC. This is a fast paced role covering a wide variety of the finance function.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of Investment Approval, Profit & Loss and financial summaries
• Own the financial process including p&l's and financial metrics
• Collaborate closely to maintain an Investment Approval pipeline with clear deadlines
• Analyse the global Education Group Investment in Content on a monthly basis
• Provide detailed analysis and commentary to ensure costs are controlled within budget restrictions
• Own the forecasting and reporting processes
• Consolidate regions to establish forecast submissions
• Maintain a strong understanding of relevant publishing and content cost systems
• Work with the FRS team and Publishing teams to maintain accuracy and reliability
• Supporting the transition from current VISTA based systems to SAP

Skills and qualifications:

• qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong IFRS experience preferred
• VISTA & SAP based systems experience is a bonus
• Relevant experience in business partnering and data analysis
• Strong communication skills
• A commercially minded individual with excellent analytical and data interpretations
• Experience within the publishing industry and/or of investment approval decision making
• Technically strong with reasonable knowledge of IFRS Experience of product profitability analysis
• Confident with complex systems landscapes
