Our client protects millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Their members rely on them to look after their pensions if their employers collapse and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.
They are looking for an Internal Auditor to join their team and provide risk-based internal audit reviews across all areas of the organisation.
This position will act as a business partner to multiple areas of the organisation, taking responsibility for the planning, resource allocation, fieldwork and reporting the reviews as well as for tracking the implementation of agreed actions. This role will develop a deep understanding of the organisation’s risks, processes, controls and risk culture; additionally, it will develop strong working relationships with all levels of management.
Their ideal applicant will hold a full auditing qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, MIIA or equivalent) or related financial service qualification, with experience or training from within an accounting, auditing or financial environment; if you have experience of auditing within the Financial Services (FS) sector or working within the FS industry it would be beneficial but it is not essential. The successful incumbent will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyse a range of information and form sound judgements.
