Client Details

Our client, a growing fast paced FMCG/ consumer business based in East Sussex is looking to expand its Finance function with the appointment of a Financial Reporting Manager.

Description

Working as part of the Group Head Office Finance function the Financial Reporting Manager will be tasked with the the day to day running of the Financial Accounts team.

Through coaching and mentoring you will lead the monthly financial accounting for the Group and take ownership of the Trial Balance and preparation of Group consolidation schedules.

You will work with colleagues across the Finance function and wider business to complete the monthly reporting process and produce timely and accurate quarterly and annual accounts.

As a key member of the team you will lead the coordination of the annual audit process and complete the statutory financial statements.

You will lead the preparation of the quarterly VAT calculations and returns to HMRC and be responsible for the maintenance of the Group's Tax risk register.

As the organisation is always striving to grow and develop you will support the integration of acquisitions into the business and any related projects.

Profile

The future Financial Reporting Manager will be a Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent)

They will have previous consolidation and statutory accounts experience including balance sheet reconciliations

They will have a passion for people development/ leadership and be able to demonstrate how they have developed these skills in past roles.

Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of UK GAAP - FRS102 are a must for this role. As are strong Excel skills.

Previous experience of working with/ for a FMCG, Consumer of Retail business would be beneficial.

Job Offer

Up to £50,000 + package depending on level of experience.
