Have you completed an Accounting degree or AAT but found yourself at a point where your career is stalling and you need to fresh mentoring and rewarding new challenges?

You will report directly to the Financial Controller and have massive scope to fast track your development and progression.

The role will initially support with core month end requirements for the complex modern group – accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with management accounts prep.

As your confidence and understanding develops (over the next 3 – 6 months) you will be given chance to swim out into open water and be involved in commercial analysis and KPI reporting, business partnering, budgeting, forecasting.  You will have chance to step into a fully fledged management accounting role.

You will need natural ambition and drive and a real keenness to learn and develop. You don’t need to be the finished article – as long as you have completed AAT or a relevant degree and have a solid baseline of accounting experience (know your debits and credits!) then there is mentoring and support available for you to kick on.

It’s a  professional group with high aspirations and they are looking for a talented ‘star of the future’ – it would suit someone with great communication skills and an appetite to become FC / Commercial Finance Manager or FD in the future.

You will need:

• To have experience at Assistant Accountant level (at least 12 months relevant month end accounting exposure).
• To be looking to step into a varied role as Assistant Management Accountant within a reasonably complex and rapidly expanding group where change is the norm.
• To have excellent IT skills (Excel).
• To be someone who can naturally communicate with confidence and professionalism.
• To be hands on, driven and proactive with an enthusiastic approach to learning new tasks and solving new problems.
