Interim 6 month fixed term contract role for a management accountant with a leading tech business in Sheffield

Your new company
I'm delighted to be working in partnership with a leading technology business based in Sheffield who are seeking to appoint an interim Management Accountant on a 6 month fixed term contract basis with potential to go permanent.

The business are a continually growing SME, with a turnover of c.£12m-£15m, operating within a niche area of the technology space. The team are a well established team lead by an outstanding Head of Finance who takes pride in the positive working environment within the team.

Your new role
You'll be joining the team at a period of continued growth, with the business having sustained continued growth throughout Covid and have clear plans to expand internationally.

You'll undertake a typically well rounded management accounts role, taking ownership of the monthly accounts and budgeting processes, supporting clients as required.

Alongside this, you'll act as a key business partner within the organisation, adding value by providing insight and analysis on profitability, commercial and spending decisions alongside playing a key role in the transition to a new accounting software.

Your role will consist of:

  • Budgetary management and reforecasting
  • Monthly accounts prep in a timely fashion including board reporting
  • Mid-monthly flash reporting
  • Revenue & profitability analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Pricing and profitability analysis around new business
  • Assisting with year-end audit process

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant although applications will be considered from part-qualified and QBE applicants.
The experience of preparing detailed management accounts above all is key to this role, alongside systems development and budgeting experience being highly desirable.

What you'll get in return
Flexible working options available, c. 2 days p/w from home.
Salary will be up to £45,000 p/a (FTE) depending on experience and qualification, with the potential for the role to go permanent should that be of interest.

Holiday entitlement is 25 days + statutory with a buy/sell scheme after suitable completion of probationary period.
