Management Accountant

Our Leicester client, a firm of Accountants, is seeking an experienced accountant to head its' Management Accountancy/VAT part of its' public practice.

*The role is full time and will involve the preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts for a wide variety of clients and the production and filing of the VAT Returns.
*It will require direct contact with the clients in discussing and resolving queries regarding both the management accounts and VAT, so good interpersonal skills will be required.
*The main software used is Sage Line 50 so good knowledge of this is essential but good knowledge of other accounting software such as Quickbooks and Xero would be desired.
*It will also require good up to date technical VAT knowledge in dealing with VAT questions from clients as well as matters like partial exemption, importing and exporting transactions, flat rate schemes, applying for new registrations, de-registrations etc.
*The candidate will need to be able to manage their time effectively in order to get the information from the clients to be able to meet the filing deadlines. There will be scope to get involved in the preparation of some statutory accounts in addition to the above, but the main element of the role is the VAT/management accounts work.

* Candidates can be AAT, ACCA, CIMA part qualified or qualified by experience.

* Some home working possible

* Salary £25-£30K
