Elevation Accountancy & Finance are really excited to be working alongside a leading Manufacturing business, based in the Barnsley area as they look to appoint a Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their growing finance team!

The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking, progressive environment to work closely with 3 other Accountants to provide extensive support across the production of the monthly management accounts for 2 key divisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone working their way through their CIMA/ACCA studies, who is looking for variety and exposure across a range of accounting duties. The business are offering full study support along with the opportunity to keep growing and progressing with the business long term!

Duties of the Management Accountant will include:

* Preparation of accruals and prepayments for all divisions within the group
* Monthly journal preparations and posting
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Full weekly & Monthly account preparations
* KPI preparation and board report statistical analysis
* Creating and approving electronic payments
* Group cashflow forecasting
* Review of completed Intrastat returns
* Review of VAT reconciliations, returns and preparation of payments
* Review of completed National Statistics returns
* Assistance in preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts
* Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register including additions, disposals and depreciation
* Preparation of group and divisional stock turn reports
* Assistance with inventory count reconciliations and variance analyses
* Assistance with standard costing reviews and system updates
* Monthly raw material variance analysis
* Assistance with the preparation for and in liaison with external auditors
* Ad-hoc reporting as an when required
* Liaise with you Line Manager on a regular basis raising any key issues and major developments promptly
* Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports
* Any other duties, as demanded by the job role and as requested by your line manager as and when required

Person specification:

*Part qualified ACCA/CIMA
*Minimum 3 year's experience working in a finance team
*Excellent IT system skills, in particular MS Excel
*Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with individuals at varying levels
*Ability to work well towards strict deadlines
