Are you available at short notice and have recent experience of working in a larger multi-site organisation, with recent Financial Accounting or General Ledger knowledge?

Due to a continued expansion, an international leading business is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to provide cover until the end of December 2021. Based remotely, this is a full-time role.

This role will be well-suited to candidates who have a passion for Financial Accounting and General Ledger, and able to work in a high-volume reconciliations role. You are likely to be Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA (or stop studier or QBE) with recent demonstrable experience of working within a corporate company.

The Role

Working alongside the Group Financial Accountant, and within the Financial Accounting team, your responsibilities will include:

• Daily bank reconciliations transactions and reconciliations for the different EU regions and entities.
• Assisting with the monthly financial close process.
• Reviewing and maintaining accruals and prepayments ledgers.
• Investigating any reconciliation differences.
• Reviewing of journal entries.
• Calculating and preparing various reports.
• Supporting with any ad-hoc project work.

About You

The successful Assistant Financial Accountant is likely to:

• Be available at short notice to start their next role.
• Have a passion for Financial Accounting.
• Have recent experience of performing a similar GL / Financial Accounting transactional role.
• Be part qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent.
• Possess intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V Lookups).
• Have experience of working in a multi-national, multi-site business.

The Opportunity

This role will be home based for the entire contract, so applications are welcomed from anyone eligible to work in the UK. Hopefully there will be long term opportunities for the successful Assistant Financial Accountant to move within the Accounts department in the long run also, subject to performance and sign off.

The Assistant Financial Accountant will be offered £15.00 - £20.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
