Interim Financial Controller
Heyland Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively partnering our client, a large and successful service business based in the Warrington area as they look to appoint an Interim Financial Controller to cover a period of maternity leave.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Interim Financial Controller will manage the day to day running of the financial reporting team, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met, whilst supporting the Finance Director with other ad-hoc requests.
Group Financial Controller Job Description
Reporting directly to the Finance Director in regard to all financial reporting activities
Responsible for managing the Financial Reporting department, including a team of 8
Ensuring the timely production of divisional management accounts by the accounts team
Reviewing of divisional management accounts including any P&L budget variance discrepancies
Production of some divisional management accounts including intercompany and related party loan reconciliations
Reviewing and ensuring balance sheet controls are fully reconciled by the accounts team and dealing with any discrepancies
Production of consolidated group management account's packs for internal Directors/Senior Management
Production of consolidated group management account's packs for external bank lenders in compliance with the Facilities Agreement including KPI analysis, profit & loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow analysis, working capital reporting, covenant testing
Managing group cash flow forecast on a weekly basis
Production of group weekly P&L forecasts
Production of external 4 year budgets at year end for bank lenders including KPIs, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Covenant tests
Production of internal annual Budgets for directors/senior management including P&L and capital spend
Responsible for reviewing year end audit files ensuring TBs are fully reconciled in advance of year end audit
Work closely with the external auditors to ensure a smooth year end process
Ad-hoc requirements set by Finance Director
Skills & Qualifications
Accounting qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
IFRS / UK GAAP experience
Several years of experience in a large finance environment
Experience of managing small or large finance teams

The ideal candidate will be a technically competent, preferably a strong financial accounting background and a working knowledge of IFRS / FRS102. Candidates with experience of working within a larger complex business will also hold a distinct advantage.
