Marks Sattin are currently looking for an Accounts Payable clerk to join a busy finance team in the centre of Leeds. The role is key to managing the flow of invoices and expenses, ensuring supplier invoices, staff and partner expenses, across global all offices are processed and paid in line with agreed service levels.

This will also be a great opportunity for an experienced AP Clerk to get involved in the testing and implementation of a new P2P system.

The role is paying up to £25,000 on a full time basis, with permanent hybrid working also available (3 days in office, 2 days at home)

Duties:

  • Managing the flow of firm invoices on our P2P system and staff and partner expenses in our expense system. ensuring everything is processed in line with firm policies and mandated spend
  • Ensure financial controls within the finance system are adhered to
  • Dealing with multi-currency payments via different Internet banking platforms
  • Maintaining effective stakeholder relationships

Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role):

  • Experience working within Accounts Payable in a professional services environment
  • Experience of working with P2P systems
  • Ability to adapt to new working methods and work across multiple platforms and software solutions
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and work with relevant team lead to deliver change
  • Good knowledge of UK VAT rules, and overseas equivalent
  • Good communication and customer service skills (internal and external), with the ability to be assertive when necessary
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a good team player
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a challenging fast-paced environment
