Finance Manager - Media Production - London Remote or Preston based
I am looking to speak to any polished, experienced Finance Managers or Management Accountants for a permanent Finance Manager role working for an exciting Media Production company. This Finance Manager will be responsible for providing effective financial control and timely and accurate financial management information to Senior Management.
This role can either be remote based with occasional travel to the Preston offices, or based solely within Preston.
Key responsibilities:
- Building strong relationships with the non-financial key stakeholders like Sales and Production team so that exchange of financial information to and from them is understood and expectations are aligned. Key partners would be Head of Production, Sales Heads and Operations Director and it is important that the incumbent is able to share and receive information with and from them.
- Preparation and presentation of annual forecasts and budgets to Senior Managers.
- Developing cost analysis and KPI processes with the Operations Director.
- Development, implementation and management of a cost analysis tracking of a project - assisting the Operations Director.
- Providing ad-hoc MI reports as needed by the Senior Management Team.
- Valuation of WIP for projects to close month-end accounts in liaison with the MD and Operations Director.
- Preparing month-end management accounts.
- Preparing year-end accounts for Haworth's Accountants.
- Submission of VAT returns
- Handling statutory payments like PAYE and VAT.
- Manager the Apprenticeship Levy threshold.
- Preparation of a small number of sales invoicing and credit control.
- Preparation of a small number of purchase orders.
- Management of the purchase order system.
- Handling of bank reconciliation.
- Responsible for creating and monitoring and reporting weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Handling accruals and prepayments
- Taking responsibility of the Fixed Asset register in Xero.
- Handling upload of electronic payment file from Xero to the bank.
- Provide any payroll support to the HR Administrator and run payroll in their absence.
Key skills:
- Experience working within Management Accounts/Finance Manager position
- A background in Media Production or similar would be a huge bonus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
