Finance Operations Manager

The Company

Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a well-known manufacturing business based in North Manchester. My client is looking to recruit a Finance Operations Manager. The company has experienced significant sustained revenue growth with output rising from sub £50million to circa £100million during the last 5 years is still enjoying continued growth. They are looking to hire an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join the team, reporting into the Group Finance Director. This position will be working very closely to senior stakeholders and will be an operational role focusing on driving the numbers.

Salary – £65,000 + 10% bonus + benefits

The Role:

This role will have strong operational bias focusing on supporting the management team in ensuring that the business delivers profitable growth in line with our strategic initiatives. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential, as is being motivated to work on their own initiative. Overseas travel within Europe may be required on occasion.

Main Duties:

• Management of the finance operations team (2 direct reports).
• Commercial and strategic leadership to align finance with operations, being the finance lead on operational and SAP projects.
• Management and control of Capex spend for all European sites.
• Oversight of stock and fixed assets for all European sites, arranging stock / asset counts and liaising with external auditors.
• Management and control of stock costing and working with the wider business to deliver improvements.
• Delivering month end – P&L analysis in respect of operations, service, sales and engineering cost centres.
• Business partner with operations, service, sales, and engineering teams ensuring overheads and recoveries are aligned to budgets / forecasts
• Produce fit for purpose KPI’s and dashboards for reporting
• Responsibility for IFRS16 lease accounting and forecasting, working closing with the shared service team.
• Delivering quarterly forecasts / annual budget in line with the Group reporting timetable.
• Drive improvement in management reporting for European sites and operational / service cost centres.
• Supporting the year-end audit and statutory reporting
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Person Specification

• Fully qualified accountancy qualification: ACCA or CIMA.
• Able to articulate financial information succinctly
• Can build credible working relationships with management team
• Acts with integrity and hard working
• Demonstrates high Analytical skills
• Preferable experience in an international multi-site Manufacturing or operations-based business.
• Integrated ERP system- preferably SAP.
• Previous experience of Power BI
• Competent in using MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel.
