Axon Moore are partnering with an instantly recognisable wholesaler group based in Lancashire who are looking to bring in a new Group Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has gone through continuous growth during COVID and are looking to bring in a technically strong individual to help add value across the group. This role will work closely with the senior stakeholders of the business and across different functions within the group.
Key responsibilities:
• Key support to Group CFO with significant interaction with senior stakeholders across the wider group
• Full ownership of the P&L, driving margins and adding commercial value across the business
• Responsible for the monthly group consolidation, quarterly bank reporting, KPIs and working capital
• Running the annual budgeting and forecasting for the group and drive new commercial projects
• Driving process improvements group wide
• Producing all external financial reporting requirements and month end accounting
• Work collaboratively with the operating divisions to deliver business performance and maintain strong financial control
• Lead on the annual statuary accounts, corporation tax and VAT queries
• Manage and develop a finance team of 6+ including qualified and PQ
• Looking a new M&A opportunities and system projects
Salary is £75k - £85k + bonus
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) and have a solid technical track record of delivery within a changing environment. My client is looking for you to have excellent core finance experience and can thrive within a fast-paced and complex environment. This opportunity is key for their succession planning in becoming their future Group Finance Director.
