Credit Risk Analyst
Croydon office location with hybrid working
£36,500 to 41,300 per annum
Our client is looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join the team and be part of an exciting and diverse role that puts you at the heart of their financial risk management.
The position will be responsible for analysing and monitoring insolvency risk and the pension deficits of the 500 largest defined benefit pension schemes that they protect (including specific industry insights), informing senior management’s understanding of their financial and operational risks.
You will report on these schemes each month via the Credit Risk Group and present your findings to senior business stakeholders on a quarterly basis. The role includes running a credit scoring model and you will need to conduct credit analysis on a subset of DB scheme sponsors identified as representing the greatest risk to our client.
Their ideal applicant will have experience within the fundamentals of corporate credit risk analysis. The post holder will be a strong communicator, with the ability to interact and influence internal and external stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate and organised approach to work by planning and dealing with conflicting priorities to meet deadlines. Strong Excel skills is a must for this position, with the ability to use graphing, tables, calculations, and automation efficiently to process large quantities of data relevant to business tasks; if you have SQL or modelling skills that would be great but it is not essential.
