Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a key client based in the Leeds area as they look to appoint a Management Accountant to support the efficient running of the finance function including preparation of regular financial reporting and provision of management information to the business.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Responsibility for supporting the compilation of monthly financial reporting to the Company and Investors within strict timescales
* Contribute to development of company forecasts and budgets
* Responsibility for supporting annual reporting requirements including information for completion of the Statutory Accounts, tax computations, and audit packs as appropriate
* Responsibility for supporting generation of financial information required for external use including the insurance program renewals
* Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records to ensure compliance with legal and best practice guidelines
* Contribute to the refinement and improvement of accounting processes to continuously improve efficiency within the finance function
* Assist in the production of accurate financial returns required by internal and external bodies
* Contribute to the production of management information for the wider business ensuring accurate reporting within required timescales
* Support the function to maintain efficient receipts and payments within the company banking arrangements
* Support the ongoing delivery of a robust operational internal control environment operates taking remedial action where necessary

To be successful for this role you MUST have the following attributes:-

* A recognised accountancy qualification or demonstrable strong level of relevant experience
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present summarised information succinctly to finance and non finance staff of all levels
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts with strong commercial acumen
* Experience of financial reporting and management accounting concepts including standard costing methods, variance analysis and margin analysis
* Advanced excel skills including pivots, VLOOKUP, sumif
* Enthusiastic and pro active towards drives change improvement with a flexible and agile approach
