The Successful Applicant

Business degree and good command of German preferable 5 years accounting work experience in the EU, ideally in manufacturing environment. ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification required (or few exams left to qualify). Comprehensive hands-on experience on Working Capital Cycle covering Order-to-Cash and Purchase-to-Pay processes. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite with Advanced Excel skills including the ability to create and edit pivots and charts. Demonstrated success in communicating financial information to non-finance personnel. Demonstrated success in data manipulation and providing clear reports that provide value-add information to end users. Ability to review, evaluate and prioritise tasks/project assignments, identify key issues and escalate to management appropriately. Takes a systematic approach to evaluate alternatives, makes fact-based decisions and evaluates the consequences of decisions. Must possess a strong willingness to learn and high-level of curiosity Knowledge of cost accounting required. The role is based in Swindon with some travel to Germany

Job Description

Month end close entries related to AR Reserves, Warranty reserve, Absorption Costing, Inventory Reserves and Accruals / Prepayments. Financial analysis and reporting related to all levels of the Balance Sheet and P&L for both locations. Balance sheet reconciliations. Simplify, standardize and enhance existing reporting across EU Businesses leveraging Data Warehouse tools. Responsible for maintaining accuracy and integrity of data reported into Division. Participate in cross functional teams where data analysis is needed. Assistance with migration of ERP planned over the next 2 years, training team members and developing adequate process notes for all accounting workflow. Fixed Assets reviews and finance documents archive management Act as cover for all finance team members as and when required. Additional duties and tasks as assigned.
