Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a market-leading engineering business to recruit a Payroll Manager for their site in Barnsley.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing the payroll team, and for the accurate and timely processing of the weekly and monthly payrolls for two companies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of new starters, transfers, promotions, maternity and paternity, sickness, bonuses, overtime and terminations
- Processing of monthly salaried and hourly payrolls across a number of sites
- Resolve payroll disputes and queries
- Processing P11Ds, P60s, P45s and payment of benefit taxes through the payroll
- Process all payroll and pensions documentation
- Resolve all payroll related queries
- Provide clear communication across the business to minimise staff payroll queries
- Stay current with new/changing employment legislation/policies
- Weekly / monthly reporting
- Supervise and train the payroll team
- Advise on tax and pay laws
- Check and audit payroll to make sure regulations are met
Key Skills Required:
- Proven track record in payroll management
- Experience of weekly and monthly payroll processing
- Team management experience
- A desire to improve processes and procedures
- CIPP qualification preferred
