Corporate Accountant

An investment firm, with over £6.5 billion in AUM, is looking to hire a Corporate Accountant to report into their Senior Corporate Accountant. This is a rare opportunity for any top quality Newly Qualified Accountant to step into the world of investment for a rapidly growing firm which is here to stay.

Whilst being ESG focused, the firm's investments vary hugely; from funding international infrastructure projects which aim to reduce carbon emissions utilising new technology, to funding smaller regional business that renewably turn farm waste into electricity for the national grid.

There is a lot of fluidity within the firm, meaning you are both able, and encouraged, to try out different areas of the business and different roles. Someone who previously held this role has recently moved into the front office investment part of the business - so there are lots of opportunities to pursue once your feet are under the table!

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsibility for key elements of the monthly, quarterly, half yearly and year end reporting
Support the analysis and preparation of statutory accounts for some of the group's companies, meaning you get great exposure to a number of businesses
Working with the finance team and wider business to manage and communicate the deadlines and processes required for the month end reporting
Responsibility for monthly Balance Sheet and intercompany reconciliations
Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency
Support Financial Control and wider Finance team projects as required

The successful candidate will be:

A recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
Experience auditing financial services
An ambitious and quick learner who thrives under pressure
