Resourcery Group are supporting a manufacturing and consumer products business based in Merseyside to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager. This is a lead technical role managing an Assistant Financial Accountant, AP Supervisor and a team of 3 in AP. - managing the preparation of the UK statutory reporting for all Uk entities
- liaising with and managing the relationship the external auditors
- preparation of the annual Corporation Tax computations, liaising with external tax advisers where necessary
- submission of monthly VAT returns, EC sales list and intrastat reports
- managing all aspects of the fixed asset register
- preparation of relevant financial statements monitoring actual performance versus budgets and targets
- provide timely working capital and cashflow information to the UK Finance Director and Group Financial Controller to facilitate operational decision-making and long-term strategy development
Applicants to the role of Financial Accounting Manager based in the Merseyside region should:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified with a practice background and strong statutory accounts prep. experience
- Be experienced of working in large t/o global businesses ideally
- Possess strong technical skills - group consolidation, stat account production, IFRS
- Possess a strong understanding of UK corporate tax legislation, with corporate tax compliance and tax accounting experience ideally
- Be a strong team manager / leader capable of developing staff
