In your new company you will be working for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council as Head of Grounds Maintenance and Parks
Your new role
In your new role as Head of Grounds Maintenance you will be tasked with a variety of tasks. This includes the development, delivery of the council's parks and grounds maintenance service. You will report into directly with the Commercial Manager of the council and need to work closely during your assignment. Throughout this role you will be responsible in making key decisions authority wide, regional and national scale to provide key development and resources to fulfill the objectives outlined.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful applicant to become Head of Grounds Maintenance you will need to effectively manage the provision of high quality services across the borough, addressing and improving customer expectations in collaboration with key stakeholders.
NVQ Level 5 in management or equivalent at degree level is essential for this position. You will need to have a clean full UK driving license, 5 years experience in local government plus 2 years in managing projects in a similar environment to parks or grounds maintenance. Another desirable piece of experience would be in training in people management and being able to build new teams.
You may also need to attend evening meetings and be willing to work flexible hours throughout your assignment.
