Financial Controller - EMEA

We are currently partnering with a leading global business solutions corporate that is focused on quality engagement and long-term relationships within their specialised field. Due to recent promotions within the finance team, there now exists a new opportunity for a qualified accountant to join as Financial Controller with a focus on reporting for the EMEA region.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this will be a broad and varied role. You will be responsible for the statutory accounting and reporting for the European subsidiaries across the division, reporting to the US parent and managing the general ledger and controls, including payroll and costs. In addition, you will work closely with the wider business on project work, including supporting ERP developments and improvements and integrated applications. Key to the role will also be managing and developing a small team across the region, with 5-7 direct reports.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) and your background will demonstrate strong accounting and technical expertise, most likely from a chartered environment. You will have knowledge of SOX, experience of preparing statutory accounts and ideally providing guidance in relation to US GAAP. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to partner across the business and also manage and lead the team. The successful candidate will have the ability to be hands-on and in the detail where required, whilst at the same time be able to give guidance to senior management on finance strategy.
