The role is to provide hands on co-ordination and information management for the EMEA Monthly Reporting, Quarterly Forecast, Long Term Plan & Budget processes. Additionally, this role will provide pivotal support to the Business Performance Finance Director for all EMEA presentations to the Management Committee and Board of Directors. Within the role you will provide actionable insights / analytics to leadership teams to support decision-making that results in the achievement of the financial objectives of the business, along with other ad hoc project work. This role will also be the ambassador to drive the FP&A vision to Simplify, Standardise to help drive results.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Monthly Reporting, Quarterly Forecast and Annual Budget for EMEA
- Develop, agree and own the EMEA Reporting timetables and processes
- Lead the communication of process changes to Budget/Forecast to EMEA Finance team
- Provide management reporting clarity and consistency for EMEA performance working with EMEA Finance team to identify drivers of performance and deliver key insights to the business
- Co-ordinate & prepare the EMEA Management Committee forecast and budget presentations drawing out relevant themes, issues and trends to facilitate decision making
Annual EMEA Long Term Plan
- Hands on management and implementation of timetable and co-ordination of EMEA LTP planning processes to ensure all corporate submission dates and presentation expectations are met
- Timetable and facilitate dialog between Central, Consumer, Flavour Solutions and Supply Chain to ensure alignment of process and content of information
- Ownership of EMEA LTP financial model to ensure robust submission to Corporate
- Actively find solutions to issues as they arise
- Co-ordinate and prepare the EMEA Board of Directors (BoD) LTP presentation drawing out relevant themes, issues and trends to facilitate decision making
Systems / People
- Work with the EMEA and Corporate IT teams to support improvements to systems and processes, co-ordinate implementation of system changes and find solutions to system issues as they arise
- Develop the EMEA Finance Analyst through active coaching and management of goals & objectives
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- Qualified CIMA / ACA
- Demonstrable experience post qualification, preferably with FMCG experience – Commercial Finance and Supply Chain Finance experience highly desirable
- Hands on P&L, Budgeting and forecasting experience imperative
- Experience in Hyperion and Cognos TM1 planning tool desirable
- Excellent Excel modelling skills imperative
- Experience in assisting preparation of Board Level presentations
- Excellent organisational skills & ability to “plan for things to go well”
- Eagerness to streamline and improve business planning processes while ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to relate financial data to the business & focus on key business issues within the Forecast and Budget
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. High level of emotional intelligence
- Track record of quality, informative reporting which meets the need of the key audience
- Leadership and relationship building skills
- Strong management and coaching skills
