The Opportunity

Are you looking for a complete step away from month end accounting - do you want to fully immerse yourself in a commercially focused business partnering role?

This is a group experiencing dramatic (exciting) change which is underpinned by significant growth and ongoing investment.

Your role sits outside of finance and 'out in the business’. You will be working in very close harmony with the operational and commercial teams within a fast paced ecommerce setting.

You’ll be someone naturally great with numbers because the role includes data analysis, interrogation and manipulation but the key to success is using your acumen, common sense and business partnering ability to translate the numbers into meaningful MI and key discussions around decision making.

Your remit surrounds best understanding revenue streams, margin analysis and profitability. You’ll dig down into the P&L to provide easily accessibly MI. You’ll help influence decision making and be a vital business partner. It’s perfect for someone studying CIMA but who doesn’t see themselves in an FC / technical / 'month endy’ role…. You’ll be able to flex your commercial muscles and really gain insight into how the business works and what impacts success.

You need great analytical skills and to have the communication skills / style to allow you to confidently partner all areas of the business.

There is mentoring from the head of commercial finance but you also need to be a proactive individual able to naturally run with projects and solve problems with innovation and common sense.

You will be:

• CIMA qualified or part qualified with superb analytical skills and a commercial mindset.
• Confident using Excel and able to model / interrogate data confidently.
• Someone who will relish the chance to stick their nose in! This is a highly visible role and you’ll be expected to get out into the belly of the business and understand what is behind the numbers.
