Management Accountant

My Client, an SME are looking for either a Financial Accountant or Management Accountant to become Finance Mgr

Your new company
An exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Financial Accountant or Management Accountant to make their next step in to their career and step up to a Number 2 finance role that will see you develop in to a Finance Manager. You are joining a business that is growing as their parent company is making acquisitions here in the UK.

Your new role
As a Newly Qualified Financial Accountant or Management Accountant, you will be bringing the knowledge and skills that will allow the CFO to focus more on Financial and Operation Strategy. Currently the CFO is running the Finance Process from Trial Balance to Financial Reporting and Year End and he is looking to bring in a Newly Qualified Accountant to take control of some of this work.


If you are a Qualified Management Accountant
You will come in and immediately take ownership of the month end and budgeting process for the UK Business. This will see you run duties including processing the Accruals and Prepayments, posting of Journal and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

This will all lead to you influencing other areas of the business through Financial Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting and Variance Analysis. Using this commentary, you will business partner with with other leaders and look to improve how they do things.

What you will gain is training from the CFO to develop your Financial Accounting Skills which will allow you to develop your skills to become an all rounded Finance Manager

If you are a Qualified Financial Accountant
You will immediately come in and take ownership of the Financial Accounting duties including the Financial and Statutory reporting and being responsible for the Tax and VAT of the business. You will also run the transactional month end duties including Balance Sheet Reconciliations and posting of journals.

This will see you also taking ownership of the Quarter and Year End Accounting too and being a key point of contact for the Auditors.

What you will gain from this role is training from the CFO and development within the Management Accounting skills which will allow you to work towards becoming a value adding Finance Manager.
